If you are looking for a South Carolina cat cafe, since June 2019 the Purr & Pour Cat Cafe has been welcoming cat lovers.
The state motto of South Carolina is “Dum Spiro, Spero,” which means “While I breathe, I hope.” In the South Carolina city of Georgetown cats who are hoping to find forever homes can now breathe a little easier, knowing that Purr & Pour Cat Cafe, which opened in early June 2019, is providing adoptables a taste of the good life as they wait for the day when their forever pet parent walks through the door.
Here’s the scoop:
The 411 for Foodies
Customers can get their nom on thanks to a menu that includes sandwiches, chips, and an assortment of dessert items, including cookies and chocolates. Drinks range from soda, juice boxes, tea and coffee to wine and beer for the 21 and over crowd. All delectable edibles are served in the cafe’s feline-free area.
The Cats of Purr & Pour
Who are the cats who are lapping up attention at the cat cafe? All are adorable adoptables from Saint Frances Animal Center, a non-profit which cares daily for approximately 100 companion animals in need, and helped more than 2,250 cats and dogs in need in 2018 alone.
For a fee, visitors can enjoy a 60-minute stay with the 12 – 15 adoptable cats in the cafe’s special kitty quarters.
More Fun with Felines
In the near future fans of felines will be able to work on their Downward Dog with help from a purring partner during sessions of CAToga (a purrfect pairing of cats and yoga); draw on their inner Clawed Monet or Henri Meowtisse during Purr & Paint; or learn about the mind of our fascinating four-legged friends at a cat education class.
Extras
