Mewsic Kitty Cafe Opens in Nashville

Nashville may be the home of country music, but the city is also in tune with pop…culture, that is, as the capital of Tennessee recently welcomed the state’s first cat cafe!

Fans of felines are singing the praises of Mewsic Kitty Cafe! The feline-centric facility not only offers tasty treats for customers, but also lets adorable adoptables with music-themed monikers like Keith Furban, Meowtina McBride, Tim McClaw and Emmylou Hair-is enjoy a taste of the good life as they play inside guitar cases and bass drums, waiting for the day when they can form a duet with a forever pet parent.

The 411 for Foodies

Before feasting their eyes on the cafe’s adorable adoptables, customers at the unique Nashville eatery can nom on cupcakes, muffins other assorted gluten-free pastries provided by The Wild Muffin, or delectable delights like vegan cinnamon rolls from LEEUW.  The menu also offers a selection of coffees, hot tea, sodas and juices to wash down the mouth-watering morsels.

The “Nashville Cats” of Mewsic Kitty Cafe

Lapping up their adoring public’s attention as they frolic under the painted gazes of country music greats like Johnny Cash and Dolly Parton, approximately 15 cats from Nashville Cat Rescue call the cafe’s cat quarters their temporary home as they prepare to take center stage in the life of a special someone. An all-foster network, since its start in late 2005 the non-profit organization has helped more than 7,000 cats who were living on the streets or rescued from high-kill shelters.

Special Activities

Cats aren’t the only once who get to play at Mewsic Kitty Cafe. The facility offers board games, cat yoga, and even occasional concerts.

Location

Open Thursday through Sunday, Mewsic Kitty Cafe is located at 2519 Nolensville Pike in Nashville, Tennessee.
