Minneapolis received a belated Valentine on February 16, 2018 as The Cafe Meow— the first cat cafe in the city, as well as in the state of Minnesota– opened its doors to those who adore our pals who purr!
The 411 for Feline-Loving Foodies
Customers can curb their craving for cookies, cake, scones, muffins or macarons and sip an espresso, cup of coffee, tea or one of a variety of other assorted beverages prior to feasting their eyes of the clowder of cuddly kitties lounging in their own separate cat quarters.
The Cats of The Cafe Meow
Patrons who pay an admission fee can walk through the double doors which lead to the cat room, where up to 15 felines from area rescue organizations love to lap up the attention of their adoring public.
During a stay of up to an hour visitors can make pals with adoptable purring machines from Minnesota Animal Rescue, No Kitten Left Behind, Pet Project Rescue, and Ruff Start Rescue.
NOTE: Children under the age of three are allowed into the cat lounge for free. Any child under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a guardian.
Location
The Cafe Meow is located at 2323 Hennepin Avenue in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
