Fans of felines in The Beehive State were all abuzz over Utah’s first cat cafe opening in 2017 when Tinker’s Cat Cafe officially opened its door to those who adore our pals that purr.
The 411 for Foodies
Before feasting their eyes on a clowder of cute kitties, customers can satisfy their stomachs with a variety of pastries and bagels, with both vegan and gluten-free options on the menu. (All of the food sold at the venue has been prepared at area bakeries.)
Beverages offered include catpuccinos, meowcchiatos and camomeow tea.
The Cats of Tinker’s Cat Cafe
After nomming on tasty treats, fans of felines can pay an admission fee for an hour-long stay with adorable adoptables who are enjoying a taste of the good life in the venue’s separate cat lounge (which features a cats only area whenever the kitties need a little “me” time.)
All microchipped and vaccinated, the adult felines at the cafe are from the largest no-kill shelter in the state, Salt Lake County Animal Services.
(While an average of 12 – 14 adoptable cats will make Tinker’s their temporary home as they wait for the day when their forever pet parent walks through the door, one fortunate feline– a long-haired black cat named Madame Bovary– is making the cafe her purrmanent residence.)

Special Events
The cafe offers a special children’s hour for kiddies who love kitties. Little ones age 8 and younger will be admitted into the cat lounge area for a fee, with a guardian paying the same price for an hour-long stay during this time. The entire cat cafe can also be reserved for private parties.
Location
Tinker’s Cat Cafe is located at 302 East 900 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
