Inspired by muses who meow, Kittens in Cups Cat Cafe in Annapolis, Maryland was founded by a freelance illustrator who helps to draw attention to adorable adoptables.
In early March 2017, Kittens in Cups opened its door to those who adore felines. Established by artist Hailey Taylor, the venue offers cat lovers the chance to please their palates by nomming on macarons, petit fours, cake pops or muffins while surrounded by tiny purring masterpieces.
Cafe Cats
Just who are the cats who are lapping up attention at the cafe?
The clowder of kitties currently welcoming customers are all adopatables from SPCA of Anne Arundel County, the area’s largest and oldest animal welfare organization.
Cafe patrons can make some new four-legged friends by making a reservation for the “Quick Garfield Visit, ” a half-hour walk-in; “The Felix Fix,” which allows for a 75-minute stay in the special kitty quarters; “Grumpy Cat Paws,” a 3-hour visit; or the “Pink Panther Pass” for eight full hours of feline fun.
Special Events
Along with sweet treats and kitty companionship, Kittens in Cups also offers visitors the chance to tap into their inner PiCATsso with such special events as “Paint Your Pet” classes, with pet parents bringing in a photo of their pals with paws; or patrons can work on their Downward Dog during a session of Cat Yoga.
