Product: Get Naked® Cat Treats
What it is: Targeted nutritional treats for cats and kittens
Manufacturer: NPIC, Plano, TX (Made in USA)
Cattipper Review: Texas-based NPIC makes a variety of chews and treats for cats, dogs and ferrets under the N-Bone®, Twistix® and Get Naked® product lines. Get Naked products are designed to promote good health in pets by focusing on natural ingredients and human-grade nutraceuticals. Get Naked Cat Treats are a recent addition to the Get Naked product line which includes chew sticks, biscuits, and cat treats.
Get Naked Cat Treats are offered in four different formulas, each aimed at a specific feline need. The formulas include:
- Kitten Health, a soft treat formulated with Omega-3 to encourage cognitive health in growing kittens,
- Furball Relief, soft treats with probiotics, natural fiber, and fish and olive oils to control furballs,
- Urinary Health, small crunchy treats with cranberry and olive leaf extract,
- Weight Management, crunchy treats fortified with L-Carnitine which promotes calorie burning and flaxseed fiber to induce a feeling of fullness.
All four of the formulas are chicken-based, contain under 2 or 3 calories per treat and contain no added salts or sweeteners. They are also wheat, corn and soy free. The formulas are packaged in 2.5 ounce containers which lists full dietary and nutritional information (thus the “Naked” moniker for this product line).
We have been giving our cats the Get Naked Cat Treats and, taste-wise, all four formulas have been winners with them. We especially like the Weight Management formula for Coco who has battled obesity (well, actually, we have battled on her behalf; she just likes to eat!) We also have been rewarding Felix, who just had several teeth removed, with the super-soft Kitten Health treats and he just loves them, even though he is a senior. We also like the fact that the Get Naked products are made in the U.S. So, from the CatTipper product testers, a big paws up!
Price: from $6 to $7 per package, available from pet supply stores and from major online retailers.
