Fans of both football and our four-legged friends will huddle around their TVs on February 11 and cheer for the option of pet adoption when Great American Family airs the second annual Great American Rescue Bowl!
Team Adorables vs. Team Cuddlers
Which team will be victorious when the Big Game is played on the same day in Las Vegas? Only time will tell.
However, on Great American Rescue Bowl each purring player (and football-playing Fido) on both Team Adorables and Team Cuddlers is already a winner, having earned the title of VIP (Very Important Pet) in a forever family!
Stars Shine A Light on Pet Adoption
Returning in the role of host is Beth Stern, who is a North Shore Animal League America board member and foster pet parent who has cared and found homes for more than 2,000 fur babies over the years! She will be joined by TV personality and producer Brian Balthazar and 13-time Emmy®-winning Pix11 morning news anchor, Dan Mannarino.
Great American Rescue Bowl Viewing Parties
North Shore Animal League America’s shelter partners throughout the United States will be hosting adoption watch parties on the day that Great American Rescue Bowl airs.
Visit www.animalleague.org/rescuebowl to find a participating shelter near you.
The event is in celebration of the pet adoption-promoting program and North Shore Animal League America’s 80th year of finding homes for adoptables and saving the lives of animals in danger, from both natural disasters, like the Maui wildfires or Hurricanes Ian/Sandy/Katrina, as well as manmade cruelty, such as puppy mills.
On Campus Celebration
In celebration of saving more than 1.1 million cats and dogs in need since opening its doors in 1944, potential pet parents in the area of North Shore Animal League America’s campus in Port Washington, New York will receive 50% off the adoption fee of their kitten, puppy, cat or dog from February 5-11, 2024.
When is Great American Rescue Bowl ?
Great American Rescue Bowl premieres February 11 (noon – 2 p.m. ET/9 a.m. – 11 a.m. PT) on Great American Family.
