For six seasons, television viewers tuned in to watch the loving bond between the members of the Pearson family as the chapters of their lives unfolded on the hit drama series This is Us. Now actress Mandy Moore, who portrayed the show’s matriarch, has written the foreword to a book that celebrates the bond between pet parents and the feline members of their family.
Marking a major milestone, Purina® Cat Chow® is commemorating its 60th anniversary with 60 Years, 60 Stories. Celebrating the Extraordinary Impact of Cats, a new book that contains personal tales written by cat lovers across the country that illustrate the ways that cats touch our lives.
Through the book readers will discover the kindness of Annie, a cat who comforts a young cancer patient; Gypsy, a cat who helps to calm her pet parent during panic attacks; and “Samson The Magnificent,” whose cantankerous countenance never fails to bring a smile to the face of his empty nester pet parent.
Mandy Moore’s Cats
Felines have played starring roles in the life of Mandy Moore since childhood, and today she is a pet parent to several rescue cats.
“I look at my three cats – Fig, Olivia and Peanut – and feel so grateful for the love and companionship they’ve given me over the years,” the actress stated.
“Cats have an extraordinary way of making our lives better, and these 60 stories truly bring that to life. It’s a heartwarming book, and I’m honored to help Cat Chow celebrate the incredible impact cats have on us.”
