Showing Coldplay and Beyonce how it’s done, a plethora of purrforming kittens will take the stage at Geico Stadium during Puppy Bowl XII’s Kitty Half-Time Show!
The felines who will be channeling their inner Sasha Fierce and Chris Meowtin during the annual Animal Planet extravaganza are all adoptables in the care of the Brooklyn Bridge Animal Welfare Coalition, Inc. Established in late 2007, the volunteer rescue group rescues, rehabilitates and helps to rehome Brooklyn’s companion animals in need.
Fans of football and felines can watch the kittens prowl over pint-sized Bay Area landmarks like the Golden Gate Bridge, Fisherman’s Wharf and Al-CAT-raz in a salute to San Francisco before the bevy of bitty barking players return to tackle each other on the turf.
Puppy Bowl XII will include canine quarterbacks and tail-wagging tight ends drafted from 44 rescue organizations and shelters across the country. The day of play starts at 2:30 p.m. ET/PT with the Puppy Bowl Pre-Game Show, followed by the main event at 3 p.m. ET/PT. As always, viewers can enjoy an up close look at all the Fido-centric fun thanks to the water bowl cam, the kiss cam, the slow-motion playback cam and aerial shots filmed by hamsters hovering overhead in the Twizzlers biplane. Meep the Bird will once again Tweet live updates on Twitter, while on the field Stanley the Skunk will help “Rufferee” Dan Schachner call the puppy penalties and five big-haired silkie chicken cheerleaders will shake their poultry pom poms as they root for the Rovers on both Team Ruff and Team Fluff.
Look for a famous face during the puppy presentation, as award-winning animal advocate and TV correspondent Jill Rappaport highlights the lives of some of the puppy players during Pup Close and Personal segments, which includes a look at a four-pawed athlete whose best buddy is a kitten!
Can’t wait until February 7th to watch football-loving Fidos and felines at play ? Check out AnimalPlanet/PuppyBowl to watch the live Puppy Bowl Locker Room Cam and the Kitten Fan Club Cam!
