Sometimes referred to as The Borough of Homes, Brooklyn has welcomed the addition of The Cat’s Meow, a pop-up cat cafe that will help our feline friends in need find forever homes.
Celebrating its grand opening on September 19th, through November 29th pals to those who purr can gather in a virtual clowder in the future new residence of the pet supply and grooming store Who’s Your Doggy for tasty treats provided by Red Lantern Bicycle and Brooklyn Sweet Spot.
Along with nibbling on noms, for a $5 fee doggedly devoted cat enthusiasts can make friends with felines from Brooklyn Bridge Animal Welfare Coalition during a 30-minute stay in the cafe’s kitty quarters.
The cafe will be offering special treats for patrons. On specified days fans of flicks and felines can watch a meowvie, art aficionados can check out meowsterpieces on display during gallery shows, cat enthusiasts can profess their puppy love for kitties and each other during date nights, the athletically-inclined can purrfect their downward dog pose during a yoga class, attendees can lap up advice during veterinarian lectures, and much more!
The pop-up cat cafe is following in the paw prints of such New York City cat cafe’s as Meow Parlour and Koneko.
Located at 354 Myrtle Avenue in Fort Greene, The Cat’s Meow’s doors will be open Thursday and Friday from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. and on Caturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.
