As you know, we’re a happy household of both cats and dogs. Inca, Lucky and Coco are buddies with Irie and Tiki, cuddling up on the couch, sharing pet beds, and, in Inca’s case, even grooming our dogs. Our dogs have been trained to always be respectful of the cats (the cats eat first and Irie and Tiki aren’t permitted up until the last cat leaves the plates).
When Lucky became ill with bladder stones last year, one of the first indications we had was that he nuzzled up against Irie and wouldn’t leave (he’s usually bouncing off the walls):
The only other time we’d seen him so quiet was when Irie had ACL surgery the previous year:
He stayed right beside Irie as she recuperated.
They have remained best buddies ever since!
