Happy New Year!! We hope every one of you has had a great start to the new year. I’ve been doing a little office reorganization (under Lucky’s watchful eye!) as I organize and prepare for the coming year. We’ve got some fun expansion plans especially for our PawZaar gift store and can’t wait to share the excitement with all of you!
In the meantime, we wanted to take a look back at the great things that have come about thanks to YOU this past year when our PawZaar gift store:
funded TWO one-year elementary school scholarships for Guatemalan students, the children of the artists who make our Guatemalan bags, children’s toys and cat toys.- contributed to over two dozen shelters and rescues thanks to 10 percent of every purchase going to help our featured shelters.
- helped provide employment to women in India rescued from trafficking situations in the city of Kolkata, India. Those women are now employed by a fair trade cooperative that we’ve partnered with to create our RESCUE Tote Bags.
- sponsored a holiday cat kennel at Texas Humane Heroes.
- took part in the Presents for Paws toy and treat drive to provide joy to the homeless pets of Detroit.
- helped the pets of Austin, the country’s largest no-kill city, during our participation in Love Your Rescue Pet Day 2015.
It was a great 2015–and we’re looking forward to making 2016 even better!!
