Happy 5th Gotcha Day, Coco!

Today is Coco’s fifth Gotcha Day!!

Unlike all our other cats that came from area shelters, Coco came to us in an entirely different way…in a little cardboard box, actually. One morning our neighbor walked down to our house carrying a small, white box. We saw him coming down the road…what could he be carrying?

We soon found out…it was a kitten that weighed less than a pound!

Our neighbor had found her the night before at the post office, tucked in the bushes. Two days before, we’d seen a cat run over in the busy road in front of the post office…perhaps it was this kitten’s mother?

Our neighbor asked if we’d like her…and how could you say no to this face?

Coco quickly took to our home like she’d been here forever. Inca, just about nine months old at the time (and just three months after we’d adopted her), immediately took on the role of Coco’s mom.

She quickly took to our male cats as well, snuggling up with them on the couch…

…and doing just what they did…

Today Coco has a personality all her own. She loves nothing better than to splash in her drinking fountain or stand in the tub after you’ve stepped out of the shower. She has brought so much laughter into our lives with her endless antics. Coco is definitely one of a kind!

Happy Gotcha Day, Coco!!
