The other morning we got up and Inca, in her catio, seemed to be trying to tell us something…
The cats love to sit in the catio in the evenings and listen to the sounds of summer. Usually we have a lot of frogs here but the creek is completely dry in this drought so the frog songs aren’t so plentiful this summer…but the cicadas are. And it looked during the night, the catio had had a little visitor: a cicada shedding his shell.
During the night, the cicada had emerged from his home in the ground and left his shell on the catio screen, flying off to serenade the cats, who this summer are able to enjoy the cicada songs from the catio!
