Over the course of five episodes the dynamic reporting duo of Peanut the dog and Misty the cat get the scoop on what an adoptee experiences while at Battersea Dogs and Cats Home.

The month-long look (a time chosen as a typical dog or cat’s stay at Battersea is 30 days) starts with an animal’s arrival at the renowned non-profit organization, which includes a vet checkup and checking out the digs for Fidos and felines:

Episode two focuses on TLC, with tabby Misty mellowing out with her fellow felines in the cattery, while the third episode explores training, with Peanut shadowing Spots as they show off their skills on the agility course. Meanwhile, Misty and the menagerie of meowing temporary tenants in the cattery purr-fect their fine-tuned talent of traveling to the land of Nod after staying up to watch a litter of bottle-feeding kittens:

Episode four features pups and our pals who purr during playtime (which, for the cat correspondent and the kitty crew, involves the strenuous skill of napping), while the fifth and final report shines a spotlight on the ultimate goal of every companion animal at Battersea Dogs and Cats Home…finding a forever home. The entire video series can be seen on Battersea Dogs and Cats Home’s YouTube channel or on Battersea’s website.

A proud pet parent to a rescued Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Sue Perkins is a long-time supporter of Battersea Dogs and Cats Home who in 2017 joined Ricky Gervais, Tracey Ullman, Paul O’Grady and Harry Hill for the charity’s Not Funny campaign, which raised awareness of a subject that’s no laughing matter — the light sentences handed down to animal abusers in the UK.
