Fans of felines are preparing to pounce on tickets for Jackson Galaxy’s Cat Camp, a weekend of dogged devotion to our pals who meow which will take place in New York City!
Following the success of last year’s gathering, the 2018 convergence of cat lovers (which is now co-owned by the Animal Planet purrsonality) will include:
Adorable Adoptables
Potential pet parents can meet close to 300 fur babies from area rescue organizations and shelters at the event. Last year 60 cats found their special someone to love at Cat Camp!
Cat Chats
While several speakers are still to be announced, following are a few of the famous friends of felines scheduled to share their understanding of the divine feline:
- Jackson Galaxy: The My Cat from Hell star will be the keynote speaker.
- Hannah Shaw (Kitten Lady): The founder of a feline rescue and advocacy project which shares her nickname, hundreds of orphaned kittens have found a home in Shaw’s heart as she trains the tiny felines for the day when they find their forever home.
- Lil BUB: Over the years the famous philanthropic feline from another planet has raised the out of this world amount of over $500,000 to help dogs and cats in need, and all of the proceeds from a meet and greet with Lil BUB and her Dude (Mike Brivasky) will be donated to aid animals.
- Andrew Marttila: From shelter cats to star felines, animal photographer Marttila (whose work can be seen in the book Shop Cats of New York) will discuss capturing the cuteness of kitties with his camera.
- Ingrid King: An author who has penned five books about our pals who purr, King has gained fame for sharing her knowledge of all things feline in her blog The Conscious Cat.

Attendees can mull over meowchandise on display from a wide range of vendors!

For a Paws Cause
The first Cat Camp raised $15,000 for the non-profit organizations which took part!
Tickets for Jackson Galaxy’s Cat Camp will go on sale in March.

- Where: The event will be held on two floors of The Penn Pavilion, across from Penn Station in New York City
