Cat Video Fest, Celebration of the Animals to Be Held in Oklahoma City

Fans of felines are invited to enjoy a virtual bouquet of fun activities as Myriad Botanical Gardens in Oklahoma City welcomes all pals to those with paws to both a Celebration of the Animals and Cat Video Fest.

Celebration of Animals in the Gardens

Taking place on September 10, the Celebration of the Animals in the Gardens is a two-hour tribute to all our friends with fur, fins and feathers, complete with:

  • an ecumenical ceremony, with local clergy blessing the animals who have blessed us with their companionship.
  • an opportunity to get an up close look at rare wildlife.
  • adorable adoptables from OKC Animal Welfare.
  •  a remembrance tree to honor the lives of our late furry family members. (Note: A $2 donation is suggested to add a pet’s name to the tree.)
  • food trucks featuring tasty treats.

Admission: Free

When: from 3 p.m. – 5 p.m.

Where: The Great Lawn and Bandshell at Myriad Botanical Gardens

Cat Video Fest

Following the Celebration of the Animals, our shared fascination with felines will be at the forefront as a 75-minute showcase of mini-Catvies featuring the talent of budding CATherine Denueves, MEOWlon Brandos and Brad KITts entertain fans of both felines and film.

The popular Cat Video Fest, which has been postponed twice because it’s periodically been raining cats and dogs this summer in Oklahoma City, will also include live music, face painting, food trucks and cats from OKC Animal Welfare who are hoping to win a starring role in the life of a forever pet parent.

Time: 6 p.m. – 9 p.m.

Where: Myriad Botanical Gardens at 301 West Reno Avenue in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
