For the 29th year, an iconic department store in San Francisco will offer its visitors a window of opportunity to fall in love with adorable adoptable kittens and puppies as Macy’s Union Square unveils its annual San Francisco SPCA Holiday Windows display.
From November 20th through January 3rd our pals with paws will discover that there’s no place like home for the holidays as they receive the precious present of a bright tomorrow during the “All You Need is Love” adoption pop-up event on Macy’s Main Floor, just like the 267 dogs and cats who found forever families to love at last year’s event. Since its start, over 8,500 companion animals have had their holiday wishes come true thanks to Holiday Windows at Macy’s Union Square.
The festivities begin at 5 p.m. on November 20th, when fans of Fidos and felines listen to holiday tunes performed by the De Marillac Academy choir and see Snoopy as the world’s most beloved beagle takes on the role of special guest to unveil this year’s windows.
San Franciscans can give the gift of their time during the heart-warming happening by volunteering to greet the public, take donations to the SF SPCA and direct potential pet parents to the SF SPCA adoption center inside the shopping paradise. No training is necessary for the two-hour shifts, and groups are invited to volunteer together. For more information visit sfspca.org/holiday-volunteer.
If the City By the Bay is too far away, you can still be a virtual visitor as you watch the event’s new lineup of cuddly canines and kitties at play each day on your computer screen thanks to several streaming videos. Animal lovers can also make an online donation to the SF SPCA, which has helped out furry friends in need since 1868.
