We’ve had a difficult week here; little Lucky became sick on Tuesday and, since that time, has made four visits to the vet’s office. Although they didn’t show up in an ultrasound a few days ago, an x-ray today revealed lots of small kidney stones.
It looks like Lucky will be having surgery tomorrow to remove the stones, then hopefully he’ll be back home that evening or the next day. He was playing with his favorite wand last night but quickly went downhill overnight — so we can’t wait to see him bouncing around and feeling good once again.
I guess if there’s one thing that helps to get my mind off the health problems of our pets — ones that I know so many of you are going through right now, too — it’s staying busy, and busy we certainly have been. Late next week I’m attending BlogPaws and giving a presentation with Joanne from The Tiniest Tiger. I’ve also been busy with a stack of freelance assignments and, the biggest of all, the revision of our 75,000-word Day Trips from Austin book which is due at the publisher in early June.
I’ve made time to work on our PawZaar store, though, and just added several new products of special interest to fellow cat lovers.
And I hope to be back later this week with some fun cat toy giveaways…as soon as we get Lucky all fixed up!
