He’s tickled our funny bones in such slapstick silver screen hits as Police Academy and Spaceballs, and now comedian Michael Winslow is touching the hearts of his feline-and Fido-loving fans by helping pets in need.
A stand up guy in every sense of the word, the Man of 10,000 Sound Effects is the headliner of Applause for Paws, an annual jest fest to raise funds for the Willamette Humane Society, a non-profit organization which has provided care and comfort for homeless cats and dogs since 1965.
Also helping to set the stage for a better future for our four-legged friends by stepping on stage at the historic Grand Theatre in Salem, Oregon, musical funny man Michael Jenkins will be the event’s opening act.
Tickets: $25
When: July 16, 2014, starting at 7:30 p.m.
Where: Historic Grand Theatre at 191 High Street NE in Salem, Oregon
