Grammy Award winner Jason Mraz welcomed the new year by welcoming a new purring pal into his fur family.
The singer who climbed to the top of the charts with his hit single “I’m Yours” said “You’re mine” to a kitten named Prancer when he visited the San Diego Humane Society on January 2nd.
The animal welfare organization’s first adorable adoptable of 2014 to get her very own pet parent, Prancer’s future will no doubt be filled with playtime with her sister Blitzen, who was adopted at the end of 2013 by Mraz’s frequent musical collaborator, singer/songwriter Billy “Bushwalla” Galewood.
Days before adopting Prancer, Jason Mraz echoed the sentiments of cat lovers everywhere when he greeted 2014 with the Tweet:
This year I intend to use my time wisely; cat-gazing mostly.
