Television viewers recognize her for her portrayals of Detective Connie McDowell on NYPD Blue, Judy Fabray on the hit Fox series Glee and Olivia Vincent, the director of the Devil Girls dance team on the VH1 series Hit the Floor, but friends of felines and Fidos know Charlotte Ross through her real life role as an animal advocate.
A long-time supporter of Best Friends Animal Society, the actress– who recently paid a visit to the canines and cats who currently reside at Best Friends’ NKLA Pet Adoption Center in Los Angeles– will be among the celebrities who will visit with animal-loving fans when the animal welfare organization unleashes its second annual NKLA Adoption Weekend. (NKLA– which stands for No-Kill Los Angeles– is an initiative striving to turn Los Angeles into a no-kill city by 2017).
Taking place November 9th and 10th at the La Brea Tar Pits in Los Angeles, potential pet parents can meet a new furry family member among the more than 1,000 adorable adoptables who will be in attendance at the event, which will be sponsored by Banfield Pet Hospital, Dog for Dog, Mammoth Pet, Natural Balance Pet Foods and PetSmart Charities. Adoption fees will be as low as $25 and will include spay/neuter, shots and a microchip.
